Following my landy (300Tdi) not starting on Sunday AM I’ve had my battery on trickle charge but it does not seem to be holding the charge. I’m guessing it’s knackered.

The battery that’s currently on is 60amps (CCA SAE 570amps). Am I right is saying that it’s not the correct battery?

What’s the minimum amps I should be buying. Any suggestions on upgrading the battery?

so is a CCA of 570 too low?

iirc it should be a 072 630cca, but if you are upgrading, then stick as big as you can fit in the battery box. it'll help with cold starts and a worn engine.

everyone seems to like the battery above and it's not a bad price at all. there might be other batteries in the for sale section too.

Go for the biggest that will fit.
I have a late Rangerover battery on mine which is around 1100 cca if I remember correctly.
I have to remove the top rad bracket and move the rad slightly to get it in but its never failed to start.

Get the biggest you can fit in the hole, i had to trim a bit off the rad bracket to get mine in, but it was the highest output for the size lol
