Hi all,

I disconnected the battery to my L322 2002 TD6 and it's now cracking but not starting. I imagine it may be an ECU BECM problem? I wondered if anyone local had the hardware to reset.

Thank you!

John

I'm not sure if you have the same immobiliser as i have on my 4.4 petrol but it's not common for the EWS Immobiliser and the engine ECU to lose sync although it happens to mine quite regularly if i disconnect the battery and the only way to get it back is either landrover coming out with the T4 laptop or faultmate as i use. i'm not sure if the GAP tool can reprogram the link. i understand it is quite common for the P38 hence the invention of the sync mate but not common on the l322. Do you have access to any diagnostics as the allcomms can read the fault but not resync but at least you would know where you are.

Hey HC, he has a couple of threads going...on one from a couple of days ago, he mentions this has happened since he disconnected his battery......I did tag you into my reply to that thread as I know you have had issues previously.....

Here's the original thread....

anybody with autologic can resync it as well as long as they have the land rover software, when mine went of of sync a while back i called a small local garage who had the right software he came out reset it for me for £50
