Fault codes!

hi all, i have had my engine fault codes read, i had 2 even though i had no noticable problems!!

P1176 Maximum Positive FMFR Correction Fault

P1178 Maximum Positive AMFR Correction Fault

they where cleared and after driving around for a few miles they hadnt come back!
I tried to find out what they are for but all i can come up with is P1176 may be related to AFM and P1178 a purge valve issue but its very vague, it dont actually tell you what part was at fault to bring up the code!
can anyone shed any light on this?

im guessing they from ages ago as i have no problems as far as i know!!

there possibly from the engine ECU getting to its maximum or minimum fuel mixture trim. usually caused by an air leak. E.G split vac pipe or a stuck purge valve or a fault with the lambda sensors

thanx for narrowing it down LOL!

i did have a fault with it not running on petrol when warm a year ago, sorted that fault, bad connection at AFM, never cleared codes! maybe it from then?
