im looking for a fairey pto winch-'driveshaft 'with the engagement linkage, can anyone help? cheers, ady.

Capstan or Drum winch?
Because the capstan winch is driven from the bottom pulley where the starting handle connects and the Drum winch is a PTO device.

Well if you have the skills and access to a ok workshop you should be able to knock somthing up but if not try the landrover orphanage or Dunsfold.

i'd only use the land orphance if yer dint mind getting fooked about by them. as in "oh yes we have it ! i'll pick it tomorrow" followed 2 weeks later by " oh i forgot! i'll get it this weekend" then "oh its in the workshop, i'll bring here at the weekend". this was followed by " oh yeah! , we're very busy with rebuilds and i forgot, i'll get it packaged for monday".. another lengthy wait was terminated by this gem.. '" sorry its got missing teeth and we can't possible sell it, do you want me to look for another?"
all in, from first enquiry to getting fooked off was about 2 months
oh and don't ferget the "yes, you need to speak to ****** and he's not here just now"

Think last time I looked around for one, the best place for Capstan bits/the Drive Dog (thats the bit I wanted) was PG Winches
Quite pricey, but looks like just the bits you need, and I couldnt find anywhere else that would do them!
