I was gunna go for the poly ones, but after reading a a numder of write-ups on here and elsewhere I decided to go for OE rubber ones. I have heard thigs about poly's like they can snap components etc, as well as having a shorter life span. (this is only what I have read and heard, not from experience) On the plus, they are alot easier to replace. But I also read, 'if the rubber ones arnt good, why do the British Army still use them?'
 
i were going to put poly,s in mine and after talking to a few people i thought"well theyve been in it for so long why not put the same back in"!!
 
You'll need access to a hydraulic press if you want to use OEM bushes.
The poly ones come in two halves and you only need a rubber mallet to fit or remove them.
I had one set of poly bushes on my Sierra Cosworth for more than eight years with no problems and that included numerous track days, Santa Pod, and the Nurburgring every year.
I have poly on my Defender and my Volvo T4.
 
To be fair, polys are probberbly good in their own right but rubber ones do the same job, are cheaper and last a sh1t load longer.
 
Hmm poly bushes for me!! but cant comment on the longevity but handling is supeeeerb!

& My Yamaha R1 powered Classic Mini 0-60 3.9seconds is covered in them LOL

PLUSSSSSS now according to EU regulations all (anything rubber) OE parts have to be biodegradable which mean gaiters, bushes bla bla ROT like buggery so the ones you have taken off & have been on 20 years is totally different rubber that what you will be putting on.

because they have to use all oem parts and equipment on it. money is not really a cost and as soon as something is worn, even just a little, the part will get replace
