hello

looking at a freelander tomorrow only £700.00

the bloke recons the transfer box has gone

how do i tell if it is the transfer box?

he said it plays up after reaching 20 mph

Take drain plug out and check for pieces of metal larger than filings which are probably normal on older models, and also check fluid, early models were filled with blackish fluid, this needs changing if IRD is ok, otherwise JOHN CRADDOCK in Cannock sell IRD's for 699 quid.
