Well in that case I apologise, it did read like an advert hence my spammer comment. Thanks but no, just a guy who’s got a freelander and thinking of using Archoil in it as it has a BMW engine. New to the site.

My freind had a nanocom on it today maf sensor is finished a reading of 0.0302 can be either Eu2 or 3 cos it was the tranzition year so check the airbox sensor but as long as you dont feel any difference in driveability and you dont have a nanocom or similar to watch some live data or at least an EGT gauge i cant help much cos i dont like guessing games.
That one could definitely mix up the emmisions a bit on Eu3 engine but you should have noticed some power issues too unless this one was not genuine LR. Drive with it unplugged cos it's better than with a dead one, the only one which would work well is the frigging expensive genuine LR, all the rest are complete lottery, depends on your luck but there are many cases when it's better without it than with aftermarketsMy freind had a nanocom on it today maf sensor is finished a reading of 0.03
Gotta disagree with you there. These 5 cylinder engines are rubbish
Plenty not to like....Gotta disagree with you there.
The car was far from perfect but the TD5 gave no trouble. Powerful enough for me, great for towing and reasonably economical.
What's not to like ?
I've ran 2 in a disco and defender. Brilliant enginesThese 5 cylinder engines are rubbish
There is a far more simple reason why the MOD rejected the TD5. It was simply because the TD5 is electronics heavy.Plenty not to like....
Wet loom, fuel economy, heavy services, expensive insurance.....the list is long.
There's a reason the MOD regected the td5 powered defender....
Wouldn't need plugging in if it was designed properly in the first placeThere is a far more simple reason why the MOD rejected the TD5. It was simply because the TD5 is electronics heavy.
"The British M.O.D. did not decide against the Td5 in it's army vehicles because of unreliability, it opted for the 300Tdi because it deemed it's electrics were more easily managed in the field. As stated, Td5 electrics are extremely reliable, and a range of plug-in diagnostic management tools are available to the civilian owner. Hawkeye, Nanocom etc. Regardless, life without a diagnostic tool is not difficult."
So nothing to do with your list.
EDC came out in 95/96 on the tdi autos, so if you want to avoid engine ecus you need to be prior to that, or stick to manual gearboxes.Wouldn't need plugging in if it was designed properly in the first place
Land rovers stopped being produced in 1998.....
I think you must have had a bad 'un, or I got a good 'un ?Plenty not to like....
