Hi, I know this might be a silly question but I have a freelander 1 facelift TD4 year 2006 and ive owned it for 3 years and no matter how cold it gets theres no glowplug light lit on the dash ever...I heard that the facelift 2003-2006 does not light up? the engine starts fine....so if anyone has a facelift model TD4 can you tell me if yours has or lights up a glow plug light on the dash. cheers
Facelift freelander does the glow plug light come on the dash?

I started my 2006 Td4 this evening for the first time in 2 weeks. The glow plug light came on. Actually the fact that it unlocked was a good sign that the battery was okay :lol:

mine does as well come on that is, and it is not that hard to take the dash top out
I got in the freelander this morning and for the first ever the glowplug light lit! but its not lit since tho....now I did change the plugs on last sunday so I'm thinking it must be 1 of the wires is bad as I disturbed them? any ideas how to test the wires? or is it a case of just putting a multimeter on the end of the wires 1 at a time and switching the ignition on and giving them a wiggle?
I changed the battery not so long ago but I don't have the radio code ,,the previous owner said its written on the back of the radio in marker pen and the arm rest and centre console have to come out on the facelift...so I had the keep a battery charger on the live and neutral leads as I took the battery off it was like diffusing a bomb
