so then, heres the timeline of what happened, and i need experts opinion on what i need,
went to yarwell quarry, got stuck in muddy water, (no wading plug) on way home the front wading plug hole was leaking oil, so i topped it up just above max to get me home 40 miles, got home and it was running just above max,
a week later the disco was throwing out loads and loads and i mean blind the whole street of white smoke/ grey. wasn't loosing any water at all, although it did get very hot on one journey, so i assumed head gasket had gone and caused either lac of compression meaning unburnt diesel or water, anyway i had the head skimmed, no cracks in sight, lapped all valves back in, started her up and left her running, still a bit of white smoke, while on drivers side the engine appears to have chucked all 8 litres of engine oil out of the exhaust onto clean cars !!! dipstick is literally polished, no oil in sight, the manifold is dry of oil so i believe it must be turbo seals ? the turbo can move about 8mm in any direction (side to side) ....... question is do you reckon turbo was causing white smoke in first place ? and how shall i go about getting a new turbo, second hand job or rebuilt one ?
