External Roll Cage Added Height?

Afternoon all,

I am looking at a Safety Devices external roll cage for my 90 and I would like to know exactly how much height it adds to the vehicle. Is there anyone with one fitted who could take an accurate measurement for me?

From memory it's 2020mm including the rear light mounting plate tab. I'll re-measure mine later today

Could you measure from the top of the roof to the top of the roll cage? My Defender has lifted suspension so is already slightly higher than normal.

Mine's a soft top so there'll be a little variance - you could call SD directly, I'm sure they'll have the measurements

Top of the roof to top of the SD cage at rear highest point is 45mm

Dunno if it'll help but just rolled the side window up on my 90 and measured from tub cap to max height in centre of roof (roll bar) with spirit level on my Chassis bolted 'Protection and Performance' Ext/Int Roll Cage and Mohair Hood and it says 73cm

you needn't go external at the top - mine is external front and side, but the hoop to the rear of the driver/ passenger is internal - also SD, but factory fitted
