I meant to say that I now have some tatty front and 60/40 second row seats available surplus to requirements. Free to anyone who can collect - I live in East Yorkshire.

Cheers

Well, I can confirm that 10 months later they still don't include instructions and the reclining hinges do not fit the centre seat. This is a manufacturing defect and honestly they're on the line for any costs to get a "professional" fix done that does not compromise the strength or safety of the seat frames as they go on and on about how important safety and testing is, only to ship something you need to cut down and alter to fit, in fact such alteration likely voids the warranty and moves the liability to the installer for any related failure.

Despite all the things people have said, to ship something flawed for nearly a year that is clearly not produced correctly is not the sign of a well run company.

So people are clear, this is not an issue fitting an Exmoor part to a Land Rover part, the issue is in bolting together two parts, both manufactured by Exmoor Trim and intended to bolt together but where they decided to use the same bracked on the side frames as the centre frame, except the centre frame has the tabs welded to it for the outer two frames to sit on, which then makes it so the holes in the hinges overlap by only about 50% and there is no possible way they're not aware of this if it is an ongoing issue, they simply choose not to fix it.

fair enough, I understand the issue, but what have exmoor said about this ?

For that money I would expect them to be fitted for me. It is stupid how much stuff doesn't fit out of the box. Things like having to drill new holes in a steering guard doesn't bother me when it only costs £40 but for 2.5 grand it's ridiculous!

I think it dont matter how much it costs, or what it is, surley it all boils down to is it fit for the purpose it was made for be it the whole seat, a bracket for that seat.

If its advertised to do a certain job, and fit a certain model, and it does not then it is NOT fit for purpose.

One thing that does interest me is there is not much in here about the Manufactures side of it. Perhaps a comment invited from Exmoor.
