Evenin all,

Fitted de-cat pipe last week, then back box went, so removed old one today and noticed mid box not looking great, so thought I might as well replace it and have a full clean system.

Got bits from Paddock and they're all Britpart so far. Too new to this to have a history of problems with em, so, no complaints, but,

Old mid and back boxes and pipes were fine, except for heavy rust and failure round the box/pipe welds. Any tips on what I can paint on these joins that will protect the joints and, hopefully, the life of the new system?

Cheers

engine paint - copper slip will crack and fall off

you can get a tin of high temp paint from halfords for £6 - the matt black is rated to 650C apparently

Use high temp paint but ensure that the target area is clean and free from greese in order to achieve a long term effect.
