Recently fitted the Rubber hangers to the two furthest to the rear exhaust hangers and one has failed already. I bought them on the internet but what poor quality. Today I went into my local Motor vehicle parts place and purchased two replacements in Black Rubber not the crappy reddish colour of the others I bought and paid £3.98 for the two. Hope these last longer.
Anyone had any trouble with these Rubber hangers failing so quickly?

Hi,
Yes I"ll have to buy OE hangers next time. I just wonder how long the ones I bought yesterday will last, they are much thicker than the crappy ones I bought on the internet and were really hard to get on. MOT in two weeks time!!!!!

Cheap rubber parts seem to perish within a year.

If you ever visit a scrapyard, never leave without some exhaust hangers, fuses and bleed nipple and tyre valve caps.

A sniff of WD40 or better still, silicone spray will make fitting and removing hangers much easier.

Anyone know a decent OE brand? Changed my old exhaust mounts (which still looked fine) but I thought "better safe than sorry" so put new ones on. Wish I hadn't as I've just looked and they're all torn under a year's use.

Does anyone know how vital the metal linkage from the exhaust to the IRD is? Mines cracked and I can see it's been welded(roughly) before. I'm considering just cutting of the nub, it's creating a lot of interesting noises when I let off the gas. 😅
