Exhaust rasp

I've just had to replace the 10 month old exhaust centre section that I bought from Eternal hysterically_laughi) Exhausts on E bay which had split around the silencer end flange . Fortunatley I had a genuine LR spare but the thing that's really annoying me is the rasp that is emitted on load and overrun .
It's been there for some time now and I had put it down to a collapsed cat but that was two cats ,two front downpipes and two rear silencers ago!
Is anyone else suffering from this problem on a 1.8 petrol ?

Not got a rasp on mine, was going to suggest the cat but you have eliminated that, might just be a fault inside - I remember on a car I had years ago the previous owner had fitted a bosal exhaust and where the 2 downpipes were 'squeezed' into one, it caused a horrible rasp.

My initial thought was the cat too and I replaced it but much to my disappointment it never cured it. I got so annoyed with it that I purchased a new centre and rear section of exhaust thinking that one of the baffles was causing it but again no .....
Lastly the flexi joint on the front down pipe started to blow so the down pipe was recently changed and again made no difference .
I had to replace the " new " centre section at the weekend after the silencer end flange split and the rasp is still there .
It's got me " baffled"............
