Just keep looking on e-bay and the Internet in general. The original covers do come up for sale on occasion. Is it cloth or leather?

When I changed the seat cover on my ZS. I found the old cover had its LR part number, printed on the reverse of the cover. This would made finding a replacement easier and saved me than hunting for the number. I would think that the Freelander seat covers also have the PN somewhere. It's probably on the underside of the cloth.
 
There are loads of K series cars in scrapyards with relatively low mileage and good seats so might be worth checking your local area. Also look on gumtree as many people breaking and selling there.

That's what I'd be doing.
I've just checked out the prices. A replacement seat base cover is around £300. There are a few options available, but all are expensive.
 
The drivers seats always go on the edge you drag your legs and bum over to get in and out. Mine was split, and my parts cars one was as well. So on recommendation I took the passenger seat cover & cushion and used that. They aren't identical, the clips are slightly different - but they fit and look fine.
