It reads every available module on every canbus, versus the one i previously had which only read two. Every version of JLR SDD won't let me execute the oil service reset procedure on my 2008 L322 HSE (US) However, the other service reset procedure worked fine.

^^^ thank you for the link to this. I have bought the same one and it works for me on my 2014 L405 Range Rover.

My previous cable couldn't read the medium speed CAN.

OK, well I have found that SDD wont work on my MY20 L550 Dsicovery Sport... So it needs to be Pathfinder.
I can get into CCF via my GAP IID tool and turn on all the items I need to turn on... BUT.... The Towing Module needs to be updated and programmed with my car's VIN number and I am not sure I can do that with the GAP tool... so I am looking at how to access Pathfinder. Anyone have good reliable links to the software? I can get the VCI / DOIP tool easy enough from China but it doesnt come with Software..

ms issues are because of pin13 check readme on dl page.

you will find a hard time getting pathfinder so get the drive image from china vcx stuff
it cannot be installed anymore.
I have it but only sellig as full systems for 600 which included sdd.
Also, it's not easy to edit ccfs in pathfinder buuut there is an option there in the face which says install side steps etc.
Drop me a PM I can send you a system image or depending on my time I might put a VM in place same say was sdd, you need vcx se with jlr doip, diagnostics associates one does not work well with pathfinder (anymore)
 
Hi all
Has anyone successfully reprogrammed injector values using a CODIAG J2534?
It seems to work O.K with SDD, shows it's connected, loads the VIN, the modules and even displays the stored injector values but it fails to re-program the values every time.
I have tried two different laptops, SDD 1.30, SDD 1.64, Windows 7 Pro and Windows 10. It always fails on the very last screen.

I think it must be something to do with the CODIAG. It's an L359 2013 Freelander.

I have followed the link above and ordered what looks like a Mongoose copy from China so will wait to see if it works.
The CODIAG came next day so I guess they are desperate to get rid of them :)

thy are all clones but sold over 250 of them and never once failed. ebay takes down all listings involving mongoose so that is why aliexpress is the only option.
 
UPDATE:
The China Mongoose arrived yesterday, once I downloaded the proper Mongoose software it worked straight away with V1.30 and V1.64.
Completed the injector coding at the first attempt.
Confirms the CODIAG is useless for the JLR SDD even though they claim it works.

dunno what version of sdd that is but if it works it works. yeah threw the godiag in the bin a month ago sdd says it works because if j2534 however is not compliant at all with that
 
It's 130.03 - says so at the bottom left of the screen ;)
If anyone knows of where to get a copy, I'd be grateful...

I tried the CODIAG with SDD 130 Windows 7 Pro 32 Bit and SDD 164 Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit.
It reads only and can't program with either set-up.
The China Mongoose works with both set-ups and comes with SDD 160.

CODIAG say it's fully compatible with JLR SDD, they even link you to the SDD 164 download.

The CODIAG will only read the modules you can not do much else with it.
