This is the sound I grew up with, and I love it. My old man used to bring defenders home sometimes when he was a countryside ranger. Was when I was between 4 and 10 and I always loved the noise and being up high. It was a special treat and that magic has never left me. That's why I'm so pleased to be a green oval owner so early in life, even if it aint a loud creaky tratter :).

Great vid mistericeman! Love the Dads Army reference at the start.

bang, bang, clatter, clatter! - You gotta love Defenders and Series!!

That Green Lane in the Lake District looks like it goes through some really lovely landscapes. Nice.

Really enjoyed watching that, where abouts were you?

i'll try that lane next time i'm up in the lakes :)

This was near Windermere - I think the vid was U5798 & U5797 combined (You can see where I cross a road between the two).
If you go onto Cumbria.gov website there is a laning section on there where they list all the BOAT's and give them a RAG status, along with a very brief description.

I basically plotted them all manually on the 'Outdoors' app on my iPad, then just used that to navigate between the lanes around the area - never had so much fun! Not to mention the scenery and views there are just amazing.

I'm going to try and get a few more of the videos uploaded tonight. I think this will like to all my videos (once they are there) if you want to see any more.
