Does anyone know anything regarding these offroad days/expiditions that basicly take you across the county a bit rather than round a hill or quarry.

I noticed last year there was a load of landrovers that went on a trip that started? ended? passed through? Tarbet, infact I think I saw the photos on this site. Does anyone have any information about this type of thing. Ideally in Scotland.

Regarding vehicle capabilities for these events what sort of level are we talking, full wading gear, rock sliders and steering protection, or can these be done with a landy the way it left the factory?
