Shame about yesterday, my hub is destroyed and I cant find anyone within 50 miles of here with one on the shelf.

Looks like its off road (Literally) till next week :(

Just when I need it as well.

Yer belt was a bit of a git to say these lol.
Been out rescuing Drizz's BMW from his drive today, winch did its job brilliantly.
Did some lanes in Langham last night, however if your not happy to get your Landy scratched then don't try it! Used the winch again to move a tree that had fallen and blocked the lane.
Got the weekend off work now which is a bonus.

Have you tried these?

RGB Land Rovers - Home

You will have to go and take it off yourself though :(

Thanks for that.

Just tried ringing them but no reply from the landline or mobile.

I guess the Landy will have to sit on the drive until I can find the parts :(

I only need the Front Stub axle, Stub Axle Bearings and the Hub (With studs)

I dont suppose many people drive very far when the bearings colapse. I wish I had called the AA for recovery now, but it ran and drove so just chanced rather than sit by the M11 when it was getting dark, rush hour was aproaching and the lorries were shaking my truck as they went by, not to mention the freezing cold.

Was it worth it thought.... :(

Sounds like you had fun last night, whats wrong with scraches.....:D:D:D.

Did you just tie the shackle on?

Ended up knotting the hook back on the winch so that should hold.
Gotta order a new cb ariel as snapped the mount clean off last night, think i'm gonna get a bonnet mounted one like Brian's, or maybe one i can attach to the rear bumper.
Also hit a low tree as i have two rather large dents in the roof.

The bonnet one has never been ripped off, it has been twisted up a bit, but if I had a vice would be easy to fix each time.

I found my parts now, brand new and up in Norwich.

Going up in the morning to pick them up. :)

What you like, there's been loads of chat about best place for the ariel, the general rule of transmtion is line of site for the radio waves so if you put it on the rear bumper you would trans mit better to the rear, also your SWR will change. best place is middle of roof as you have it,

more dents........

I seem to have gathered all the bits I need to repair my hub but now I cant find the right socket to take the discs off the hub.

Stupid multi spline bolt, i think its a 14mm or 9/16 AF but I dont have the socket for it.

I even went to Machine mart and brought an impact gun and' I thought' a set of AF impact sockets, but when I got home they were Metric.

I am off to Halfords to hope I can find the correct socket or the job will have to wait till Monday when I can take it to a mates work to get the bits swapped over.

Middle of roof also best for smashing it off with a low tree lol. Think i'm gonna get a PSM-1 mount:
CB Radio - PSM-1 mount with a Valor 300 rubber duck aerial - for oofroading, on a land rover - Additional Photograph

Can bolt it to the back of the truck so the aeriel is still high but its protected from trees.

Anyone up for Violets Lane today?

Sorry mate I am seeing the kids later today....

I just brought a Winch bumper :), 2nd hand should pick it up next couple of days, got a quick little job for mike on it, its to weld up the name cut out on it. need to find a nice cheap winch now:rolleyes:

Hi people it's "daddy" here lol (well I brought the 4x4 to get Jody to hospital if it snowed, and it served its purpose!) now it's vibrating when I accelerate! (the car not Jody) stops vibrating when I take foot off gas! So I doubt it tyre related or bearings :( it doesnt do it all the time, just most of the time.......any ideas ?

Hope your all well, most all go out for an evening of mud and a beer
