Just to confirm what Brians told me (he wasnt 100% hence the post)

Both axles - 2lt of D90 each
TX Box - 2lt of D90
300TDi - 9lt Oil but which??
Manual Box - ?????

And obviously an oil filter. Whats the best way to do the TX and Gear Boxes? I presume axles are fill to level on the 1/2 bung?

it's ep90 in the axles and Transfer box
ATF or mtf in the gearbox
15w/40 or 10w/40 oil ion the engine.

IIRC and off the top of my head. quantities are approx
7ltrs in the engine
3.5ltrs in the gearbox (manual)
1.5ltrs in each axle
2ltr in Tbox.
or there abouts.

I use a 1ltr flexi oil bottle with a pouring spout. Fill levels on boxes and axles are keep filling till it starts to come out of the fill hole.

Redhand is right but here it is ripped straight off Autodata...

This weather is seriously starting to **** me off. Closed the road at the bottom of the hill so If I want to go from my house to the barn I have to go via north station.
What a crok of ****!

Funny..... Your in a great mood... :D

Its all dried up around here, thought the road might have been damaged so closed for repairs.

Merry Christmas to you....

Just in case you have not been told, in the gear boxes, only use EP90 GL-4 not GL-5, Some GL-5 has additives that like the soft bearings in the gear box and can attack them, and eat phosphor bronze...

Its not all GL-5 Grade oil that does it but the additives that some manufacture put it it.

Just in the tx box?

Yeah GL-4 in TX, you can use GL-5 in the Axles, as there are no phosphor bronze in there, I believe this applies to all the older model gear boxes, I cant be bothered with 2 oils, and just use GL-4 in all,

the only real diff is the GL-5 handles higher gear pressures, but hey we tend to change our more often the they normally are.... well I do in case i get water in them lol. and for the few £££ it costs..

I got an Auto so don't use it in the Main gear box, lol
