Well chaps the landy is now also being re sprayed so in total
New Engine - Welding Footwell and door - Full respray - Renaul Megan Seats - Full Rewire & blade type fuse board installed - Snorkel all water tight
Cant wait to get it back im not sure when but its going to be worth it. In the mean time im thinking getting a wading kit. I have seen the 200tdi wading kit on ebay and the prices are very different? Is it easier getting a kit or am i over engineering something that could be done by buying some connectors and a reel of pipe? as i have seen them 4 into 1 breather connectors etc. Anyone got any views on this?
Well I'd love to join you all but I can't get the thing running as it should, so are any of you experts on the 3.9v8efi. Need help so I can come and play. Anybody near Halstead /Sudbury can come and gissa hand or know where to take it that s reasonable, cheers
loads of threads on it, have a read give you a better idea. most people i know bought the kit, the 4 in 1 manifold are good lets you have just one pipe up the snorkel or where ever you come up.
Thanks for replying I will have a hunt on it all and see what I can find
It starts and runs lovely but it ticks over high after a few minutes and ismore irratic as it gets warmer. tried another stepper/idle valve, no difference, unplugged the afm and it conked out so i presume thats about right, also seems to run rich. it does start first time everytime but its not much use as i start a greenlane and one minute it ticks over at 900rpm then 1500 plus which isnt very much fun. I need a clever v8 man to help me out,
I had a scare earlier this evening. Was on my way back to Colchester from Clacton in the dark and saw a 110 go the other way with a full roof rack like mine, number plate at the front of it like mine and a second set of tail lights above the rear door like mine.
Quickest I've got home thats for sure, breathed a big sign of relief when I got back and saw it was still on the drive.
We should have some rain today and tomorrow at our site in Wales. It is going to be muddy!
