Good night had by all and no breakages! cheers for leading and sorting the lanes Jon!

Cheers jon for leading was a good nite highlight of the night had to be the woman in stockings !! Cheers mike

No problem, had a good night, shame the lanes wern't the most challanging, still a bit of speed made some of them interesting that was for sure (I will say speed as in fast, I wasn't speedballing whilst laning:rolleyes:)

Not sure what that woman was doing, theres dogging and then theres dogging on a T junction in the middle of nowhere.

No breakages was good although I think I will be doing my bearings at some point soon and my starter is now starting 1 in 3 times so need to do that as well now...

Well after being told while laning last night that my engine sounds like a bucket of bolts I had another look and replaced belt tensioner as well as pulley bearings, still no joy. It's not as loud under load or if I slacken tensioner. Think it's coming from fan drive, but there is a small oil leak from the bottom bearing so it could be that. Are their bearings in the fan and bottom drives that are easily replaced, starting to get the hump now.

The viscous fans can lock up, they do have oil in the unit, run it without a fan for a while and see, the bottom pulley seemed loose the other day remember I pointed it out to you, they are damped so it maybe that, have a look at another TD5 as reference. Have you got your new steering arm on yet and did the damper bracket fit ?
Could also be bearing in the fan pulley, is it anything like the 300tdi set up?

Hi James
Have run it with the fan off and made no difference, still not done the steering arm other things keep cropping up, but will be done at work by midday tomorrow so hopefully will make a start. Did you get yours done?
