Should be taxing mine again on Thursday, cant wait to use it again.
So you own a truck with a sports exhaust ....snigger
Won't be cheaper than my £20 cat back exhaust.
I can assure you your sporty disco is very sporty compared to my 2.25 diesel 109I own a truck with an exhast that is supposedly sporty... I think what they meant to say was 'Discovery sports (well we took a silencer out) exhaust'
Nope, that it certainly wont...

what happened to the third piston ?Not right now it isnt, my 3 cylinder disco doesn't like to get over 20mph right now, the new engine should sort that out though, usually it will actually hit 85mph, it does about 15mpg mind!!
what happened to the third piston ?
How the hell did you manage to break off a couple of lobes !!!!! Even I couldn't do thatThe fourth, its still there but the back two lobes on the camshaft are broken so its not actualy being used, its more of a diesel pump now supplying the exhaust with plenty of fuel to burn, I like to think of it as my top secret spy gadget for getting away from 'ze germans (at 20mph)
Looks like a good day out there Ian. Will send buddah an invite now.

:screaming_bug_eye_f:screaming_bug_eye_f:screaming_bug_eye_fsnigger!I got myself cross axled and the only person to come along at the time was a jimmy but still managed to pull me out after plenty of wheel spinning
Cheers Geof, was a really good day recon we need to do a group visit one Sunday as we would get a discount, really enjoyed the fact that the site has all cover'd as it can be as hard or as easy a challenge as you want and no orrible sand like bures to ruin you motor, although I did embarase myself a bit when I got myself cross axled and the only person to come along at the time was a jimmy but still managed to pull me out after plenty of wheel spinning
That's a good question John how the fook ya do that
I'm taking the gearbox off my breaker tomorrow Jon, so the engine will be easy to drop out whenever after that
piccies would be interested to see what went wrongWell I'm not sure exactly what's happened but the rear 2 push rods ain't moving, the followers are new and so are the sliders, either the lobes have gone or the crank has snapped, they do wobble about a bit but not even slightly in time with the engine. It's cheaper to drop in a new engine and strip mine, will be interested to see what's gone. I think a valve cap jumped and caused the damage, have had the head off and there was no contact there, all very odd...
You mean the camshaft has snapped? If the crank had snapped you would be in a whole world of pain and misery
I would be tempted to whip the lift pump off and see if you can see anything
