Thanks for sorting the route. A thoroughly good fun day.
I had to visit the jet wash to get some of the mud off the wheels. Awful vibration before hand.

Hi Guys, Sorry had to leave a bit early had some really bad wobbling going on on the steering after that last lane :(, I stopped at a jet wash and tried to clean the inside of the wheels off but I still couldn't do above 30mph without shaking all over the place:mad: - got home at 5.20pm had another quick look over them and I'm pretty sure I still have quite a bit of mud in them - fingers crossed that's all it is.

Anyway had a superb day today chaps - had loads of fun and very much looking forward to our next outing!

Big thanks to Dan and Mikey for doing a great job of leading the way - Cheers!

Great to meet you guys .But as you probably know I only got as far as Church st, would it be possible for somebody that finished the drive to P M me the rest of the route so that I can see what you folks enjoyed ?.

thanks for leading and sorting route Mickey and dan. Another fine day out. Guess the next one is down to me or graham to sort out.

No problem for me to take the lead but it will have Violets lane in it.:D
So make sure we have some more rain before we go.
Start off in Harlow & end up over where we started today.

had wandering and wobble all week (checked and its definately swivel bearings...) so reckon it's really asking for trouble if i went playing but couldn't resist the one on a414 at north weald on way back from work.

and guess what happened . . . .

.... yep. headlamp plugs melted. went rather dark shortly after that.

after many cuss words and poking i discovered a loverly bit of wiring joining the bumper spots to the headlamp high beam.

- get spot wire
- cut headlamp wire
- twist the 3 ends together
- lightly season with insulation tape
- sell vehicle to your mate who points out "sold as seen" doesn't really apply cos i can't see anything due it being pretty frigging dark down the lane and picking up 20 rothmans on the way to bring back my automotive multimeter, 12v soldering iron and some wire isn't too much to ask.

although it's my vehicle now and my problem not his - i have done the same for him.

(not sold a wagon to him with shonky wiring, very "distressed" headlining and a still lingering smell of baby poo/puke)

guess it's now that time to go over the whole damn thing and at least get a triage priority thing going...

so no winch before the olympics. stick with cheapy hand winch or hi-lift (if i can get some decent winching chains).

ok.
stopped moaning now.

sounds like it was fun today.:(

violets lane - yes please. i've been a good boy can i come?

it's more interesting on a dirt bike when the water starts coming over the tank . had to rebuild a slightly buggered (another engineering term) dr350 after some nice chap in a series 3 dragged me out

although the one at north weald a414 / tylers green i would recommend going into it from the housing estate not main road as bloke whos driveway the byway ends on is a bit of a moaner.
"tracking mud up my road"
"roaring about and speeding outside my house" (in low diff lock??)
"when i bought this house the agent told me it was a bridleway" (an estate agent lying ? never heard such a thing...:)
and it's bit awkward from a 60mph road...

so when is this likely to be so i dont miss another one:)

brought back some fond memories and then a renewed love of coil springs :)

not planning on getting another one before i'm at least 50

so it's free to good home if anyone wants it?

Glad you had a great day, laning, did not see the kids in the end, and spent all day trying to replace the bushes in the Radius arms, it was a barsted getting the bolts out, the drivers side took about 3hr's two cutting discs, a 3lb club hamer and a wreking bar.....:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: the rubber had disappeared in the bush and the sleeves had rusted on to the bolt, so would not come out, after running out of cutting discs, we had to go and find some in Stowmarket, thank you for your help Matt.

so the bad knocking on the front has stopped just got a little knocking to sort on the passenger from now.

Still got major PC problems, so using Haidees at the mo while visiting them, just got the rest of the bush's to do now and that will put me back to the position I was in Aug, with putting the interior back in.

Another great day laning guys was fun! shame some of you had to leave early, pub grub was good with a few games of pool thrown in, and about another 6 lanes after that.

What happened to you Boycie??? we stopped for about 20m trying to contact you through CB and then LZ because we didn't have your number.

Looking forward to more laning and esp vilot's if we have enough rain!

As Dan says he gonna sort out some more routes and we will do some reconossance and mark out the best ones for another laining day, coupled with George's / Geoff's lanes we should have some more great laining to come.:crazy_driver:
