Yeah, there is a lot of **** about at the minute. People are not going to hand over lists of lanes that they have researched and spent hours checking for tro's, etc...
Get to know people, maybe join a club and respect every single speck of dirt you drive on coz it won't be around for much longer if all this continues!!
I assume you were wanting to know about the lane in the very first post of this thread?? If so, take a look through the several hundreds of pages here and I'm sure you'll find a little bit of spilt information.
Half the fun of this game is finding the lanes and doing the research and mapping. We are not here to hand it to you on a plate.
A little give and take is needed
Get to know people, maybe join a club and respect every single speck of dirt you drive on coz it won't be around for much longer if all this continues!!

Fella read the sticky( before you go green Laning ) in the start of the green lanes section, a little bit cheeky coming strait on with a first post wanting to go out, may I surgest you introduce yourself first and get to know people,we don't have probs taking people out laning with us but a lot of people don't like what we do and don't understand that we are trying to keep these lanes open for everyone not just 4x4ers, a little respect will do wonders, so welcome to the site, try and introduce yourself ,also me ole mate goonarmy ain't got a landy no more, if ya was to read the tread you would see that ( and I know he missis going out laning cause he the first person.I Ever went laning with,hope to see ya again soon fella) people are trying to outlaw what we do because they dont understand they think we just want to rip up the country side so respect for the lanes we use is of upmost importance if we are going to be able to keep them open for future use.
Not trying to tell ya to suck eggs, just do some research on the site first before steaming in like a bull in a china shop.

It just looks like mainly surface rust to me but I guess you have tapped a few holes in it then.

not good, as you said on the phone its going around the rear Springs as well, shame but at east you not scrapping it and going to breath life into it.

The majority of the "surface rusted areas" are less than .8mm thick according to my calipers

That don't look good especially the last picture! definitely not just surface rust, like you said the mud has killed it.

I am so fraustrated now.
I can be a bit of a hoarder, hating chucking anything in case I might need it, has happened in the past. Then after holding onto my shell and chassis for 6 months you call me 3 days after it's been picked up.
Speachless.
What next, a call from the guy who wanted my old block.
I hope the 200 chassis you found near you works out ok.
I am so fraustrated now.

If it doesn't work out, I know a man with a several hundred ton scrap metal compactor.
I have been working solid for the past god knows how long, no money seems to have appeared, done some more working still no money. Now going through a few job applications...... my time on this retched disco has been nil.
It is just my luck that you'd have ditched it. Nothing ever works out for me unless it is bad stuff. Always waiting in limbo - it ****es me off. Every time I do something - there is always people waiting to laugh when it all goes wrong
I had a pikey nick an engine off my drive a few days ago. Had the customers ecu immobiliser thinggy box on it that I still needed..... not bothered about the engine coz that was ****ed but now I've got that to sort out,.
I can hardly see Morocco materialising.
Rant almost over.

If it comes to scrappage then take my advice and break it. I made £2.5k out of mine in parts.

I did notice some corrosion above your offside rear spring, but **** didn't realise it was to that extent def time for a new Landy (I know......) or a new chassis, in which case you will in effect a brand new Disco.
Keep your chin up mate, you will get there & if it does all go tits up re Wales, your welcome to tag along with me. You wouldn't want to miss out on bear would you!
BTW sorry I missed ur call, was over Sudbury getting ready for my paddle down the river.
