My Disco is all stripped out :eek:

It is still drivable but depending on what I get up to over the weekend and start of the week will depend on whether I come or not. Also depends on the fuel situation :rolleyes:

I bought a new welder end of last week and it arrived today :D I've got 3 now to play with :doh:

If not, I can come with you :D :D :D

When i get a spare day off after my holiday I will come down, always fancied doing a bit of welding, fancy making up my own tree sliders, or is that a bit ambitious for starters. you could show me how and i could hire some gear for the weekend to make them.
 
I think then we ought to have a day of play on the welder or days by the sounds of it :D

It is going to take me a couple of weeks in between other things to sort the disco so maybe a person could come up a day or two each or something like that :confused: We could then spend a day making something that you want.

Geoff, a set of tree sliders is easy to make, especially for a defender as they're quite small. Could be made in a day! Just find something you like and have an idea of the materials as these would need to be bought. I only hold steel plate in stock for patching.

Spike, have you got anymore holes you want to patch? :D :D

IS&G Stockholders is the best place. They've got one in Ipswich and Chelmsford. They sell steel by the bar so if we made up an order, and I could collect it on the van then we all wouldn't be buying 7 meter bars of steel because we only wanted 2 meters!
 
Guys I'm after a pair of Discovery front wings if anyone knows of any. Kinda need them asap as I'm planning on painting the truck tomorrow.
Don't need to be mint, in fact cheaper the better as they will also be cut in the future of the arches to be fitted.

I have already removed them too.
 
Possible B&T Salvage over Ware (Hertfordshire) may have some. They are open Saturday 8ish untill 12 i believe and normally have a couple of Disco's they are breaking, you will have to remove them yourself but they are cheap as chips normally.
 
Drivers side one here, mint except for some glue from the rubber arches but that will get cut off anyway.

I did answer your previous post after I sobered up and text you but got no response.
 
Cheers lads, gonna have a phone around tomorrow and see what comes up. Local scrappy has had a 200tdi commercial in for months so might catch him in a good mood and get them for cheap.
Just don't wanna spend any money as I've had so many pairs I've got rid of, plus I'm painting it matt black and eventually cutting a big chunk off for the arches. :lol:

I won't be at the Suffolk driving day this month. I will instead be at a kids party :(
