nice pics there mate
Also too much water soon makes your carpets and interior scruffy.
Not great for a daily motor.
There wants to be more than two of us really
Mainly on there for emergency and looks
Thats not many more than 2 that are still working!
If you change your mind, text me.
Agree on the emergency issues.
But not the looks. I think it looks awful. I much prefer the look of my Disco without it.
But the muddy tide mark in my airbox was rather motivating.
As is the reassurance when going through water.
But I will be testing mine ASAP - most likely @ Terling.
Its a short ford but apx 2 foot deep so if any of my joints leak I should have a small puddle in the sealed up airbox. If not Hopefully I've done an OK job?
Time will tell!
Exactly. When I sunk mine, I had to strip the whole lot out and vax it all.
Took sound proofing out though so if something happened again, it'll be easier!
Yours has sound proofing??
I'm sure mine has road noise amplifiers
You want it nearer to 3 feet to test the snorkel, I have been through terling with no snorkel before and it wasnt a problem
Needs to be bonnet deep
You hope you'll get a small puddle in your sealed airbox! Make sure it doesn't fill up to the inlet or you'll be snookered!
Noooo.
What I was saying is its a good test ford, better to test your snorkel at Terling than @ violets lane!
Last time i drove it I had no snorkel one. I bravely went in after Brain tested it with his Disco (also no snorkel) but the water line was just under the headlight, about in line with the old inlet.
Anyway.
Just spoken to Spike and meeting him @ 20:00 in Essex.
Hopefully nothing will break or fall off!
If anyone else is hoping to join, PM me before 19:00. Cheers Nick.
Had fun yesterday afternoon getting the transfer box off. One bolt sheered off in the gearbox and another was in such a **** place to get too (needed long extensions) and was so tight the head has rounded off with it only half out
I now have to try and cut the head off the bolt and then when the box is off get some heat on it and try and get it out
Well at least its not December i guess
just ordered a set of ****ed bolt removal sockets ( not sure of the technical term) i've got a dodgy caliper bolt, your welcome to borrow them if its any help. should be with me tomorrow.
These.I take it you mean a set of these type of sockets , they are ment to be good.
What do you expect? It's a gay....... freelander; I mean
I think they were also fitted with an amplifier and a huge set of speakers for blaring out "I'm a barbie boy"
You'll get over it, one day
Good easter is a good ford for deep and short.Could be a good snorkel test venue?Noooo.
