Nope that's the engine coolant temp sensor.

I'll try and find a pic of the cam sensor from the location views in RAVE

Yep, told you I wasn't great without pictures...

Is this it in here then:

I have traced a cable to something in there, but I wouldn't have a clue how to access it, it's a bit tight. The other place I was thinking was behind that big fan, but I don't have the appropriate tool for removing the fan to gain access.

im failing to see the water pump pulley or the crank pulley in that pic:p:p:p:p:p:D

I've attached an image which shows the cam sensor plug location in relation to the front of the engine.

Image looks like it was taken under the front/right of the vehicle and is looking towards the oil filter/crank pulley area from the bottom of the radiator

This was my point. I don't know what things are called. I can see from pictures fine, but I aint a mechanic, but whilst I am happy to attempt some stuff, most of it is a learning curve.

MartyUK, that's exactly what I needed. I should be able to figure out what to do from there. Hopefully.

Thanks

The picture shows the plug for the cam sensor, the sensor itself is where i said it was, in the front case just above the crank pulley.
