Hi guys.
As the title suggests. I've a barrel of Morris ep80w-90 and a 4.6 auto box and transfer box p38 in need of new fluid. Any compatibility here?

Cheers

It will kill the auto box and is not correct for the transfer box, both need Dexron 3.
Thanks guys.

Next problem... I've fitted a new chain to the transfer box but now it is stuck in neutral. The motor works and is whirring away. Have I put it back together wrong? The shaft that spins to push and pull the gears... can that become unseated?

You could have the motor in the wrong position inside the tranny box🤔

The motor has to be in a position that matches the tranny box.
I've not been there myself but there are a few more experienced bods that can clarify better than myself 👍

I'm thinking the motor thinks it's in high but the box is in low. So if I switch the motor to low whilst off the box I can refit and the two will both be singing each other's sweet songs?

If it is still there, you may be able to download RAVE from the technical archive. There are a set of electrical contacts with the motor that tells the electronics the position of the motor, hi, lo or neutral.
Aha. I am a complete buffoon when it comes to these things. I'll download it and see if I can decipher anything.
