Hi guys,
As my '97 p38 now has various problems with suspension,rot, air bag lights etc and my classic has abs and gearbox faults, I'm considering taking the engine and box from the p38 ( its got a 5.3 V8 developments in it) and putting it in the classic. I've spoken to Ashcroft transmissions who said that if I gave them both gearboxes they'll build me a hybrid for the classic to cope with extra grunt. I'm also considering running the engine off of a megasquirt ecu to control spark and fuel. Can anyone think of any problems I might come up against or should it be fairly straight forward?
