Disco 3 (LR3) Engine systems failure

Hello again

Fairly recently my discovery 3 has started displaying the message ENGINE SYSTEMs FAILURE then I lose all power and the car sounds like a Harley Davidson
( running on two cylinders)

The only recent work done to the car is
New disks and pads
K&N air filter
Half a silicone hose kit as I haven't had the time to fit the other side (big hose has been fitted)

Please can someone tell me this isn't the dreaded injector issue.

OK..... It isn't the dreaded injector issue.

Nahh its the injectors U R fecked! Sorry.

As lynall said get codes read most likely fuel pressure issues either low or high pump would check at Schrader valve, blocked or restricted fuel filter can also cause issues, you might also want to check intercooler pipe hasn't popped off but diagnostic will point you in the right direction best of luck mate
