Engine Swap

Hi Guys,

Does anyone have any different than standard engines in thier cars? I was wondering whether the 2.5 Range Rover Engine from the P38DSE would fit?

Still new to all of this does my gearbox have a number like the LT77 I have seen in magazines etc?

The yellow trigger on the gearstick is this something to do with the hill descent? should their be any lights on the dash when being squeezed the lights come on prior to ignition and then go out but nothing on idling

Anyone from Southwest? Do you offroad in yours?

Can help you on the HDC. Yes, there should be lights on the dash when the HDC is engaged. To engage, squeeze leaver and slide collar down the gear stick. There is a common problem. The wires break off the switch on the gear leaver. Pull the gatter free of the consol then pull it up to expose the switch. I found my wire loom down 'in the hole'. Quick work with a soldering iron soon sorted this out. I am in the south west but not as far south as you. Good luck.

Dont touch the 2.5 DSE engine. If it is the BMW one...it is not as indestructable as they will have you believe!!!!!!!!!!!!!
