I've been getting all the bits and pieces of my SIII to put the new galvanised chassis in and have eventually got all the bodywork off.
There was a problem with the engine before I started all this, very smoky and misfiring occasionally as well as the odd knock after my latest fiddle.
Do you think it'd be best to try and fix this before transferring the major components across to the new chassis or after?
At the moment it's propped up on some concrete blocks (in a barn) to create more space to work around (no tyres on it) but these can be added back on easily. It's runnable, in theory anyway, all that's come off so far is bodywork, fuel tank, tyres, battery and air-filter.
So basically is it worth moving things across before trying to sort out the engine, my opinion is that I should try and fix it now before progressing, am I correct?
