This method is worth trying. Will save a lot of work, I think.
freelaner, i didn,t read the link as my k series disappeared last year, so i was relying on grey matter
The V6 is around 3" shorter than the 4 pot iirc. The V6 is wider than the gap between the slam panel and bulkhead so has to come out @ a 45° angle.
This is what you see once the engine is out.
A 1.8 doesn't look that much different with the engine in!!!
True I always find it too low in the engine bay to work on comfortably I usually resort to either sitting on the front panel or the top of the engine if working down the back of the engine. Its not made any easier with having 1 of the big rubber/foam A frame's fitted along with pod driving lights .
