Just checking cos it's unclear.
Do not undo the large nut in the
Centre of the FIP pulley.
Crank and camshaft pullies- cam one will wiggle off and you can use two levers opposite each other to help. The crank one can be a little more difficult but once it's moved a bit it gets easier.
There is provision for a pulley iirc on the crank one but I've never needed one.

Could you go over how to get the crank pulley off? just use a puller? How does it stay on and does it need to be pressed/hammered back on when rebuilding?

Ah yes. I’d forgotten about those. Thanks James. Does the back of the timeing case then just come off after undoing the bolts on the back? Any hidden bolts anywhere?
bolts on front of sump going up into timing chest, crank belt sprocket etc, some are on the inside and 1 or 2 are easily missed

Thoughts on whether this fuel pump pulley is salvageable? Looks like it’s been dropped at some point in it’s life? Could maybe file it down or better to get new one?

Do the discover, RRC and defender use the same radiator? I've found a decent recored radiator but the part number is BTP1823S which on LR direct says only fits the discovery and RRC?

Do you really need a timing kit or can you use drill bits to set the timing?
Yes, 9.5mm bit for the pump, visual for the flywheel, use a flat blade screwdriver to fine tune the flywheel slot.
Although I eventually made a simple flywheel tool because the bugger kept moving and it took ages the first time I did it.
