Hi don yes its a nice car ive had it 4 yrs and bought it off son in law its only had 1 other owner from new and have full history of it i will post some pics shortly , i have thrown a lot of money at it to keep it nice and working properly so hopefully now it will last another 10 yrs at least ,, cheers mozz
 
FINAL UPDATE , have fitted new maf sensor , it appears to be purring like a lion , done quick road test on gas then petrol .im happy happy , so will leave it till morning and start from cold and hopefully all will be well , let you know tomoz

hi keith the a/c wasn't working before engine sorted it was about 3mths ago and just stopped ive checked all fuses and relays all ok the clutch is spinning ok so not sure now what to do ????????? will check with a meter if power is getting to the plug on it and then come back to you ,plus I don't know how to test if its full of gas ????????? any suggestions what to do step by step would be really helpful as im not up to how the a/c works ,and anyone else reading this if your well up on the a/c please post for me much appreciated ,,,regards MOZZ:crazy_driver::crazy_driver:

Hi Mozz, either the gas pressure is low or the clutch is slipping. Low gas pressure is usually a leaking condensor but can also be a pin hole in one of the pipes. Take it to **** Fit and get them to check the gas and if no gas do a leak test.:)
 
Hi mozz. Sounds like a good job done. Like said take to quick fit they will do a leak test and if it's leaking there's no charge. Mine was a knackered condenser so changed that and the receiver / dryer and now all good!

Mozz there is a fix for the slipping clutch if it is slipping on rangerover net have a look .When they regass the system they usually put it in vacuum mode for a while to test for leaks they are not allowed to gas it if there isa faulthope this helps

good post cheers just been tested and condensors kaput .. where can I get one and how much for a new one also part no would be handy its a 2000 p38 4.6 v8 vogue with thor engine many thanks

Not sure about the gas guzzler Mozz but there are 2 sizes on the diesel, amke sure you get the right one. I got mine off Ebay about £60:)

I smile even more paying between £1.06 and £1.11 a litre for diesel plus 24 mpg or better;):):):)
 
Fitting the condenser is pretty easy too, even I (nearly) managed it. On mine one of the AC pipes had corroded itself to the condenser, hence I had to get a new one of those too. About £130 for the condenser and £50 for the pipe.

Mines being regassed on Monday, fingers crossed.

That was an expensive condensor, is it a Vogue or gold plated:eek:
 
It was a brand new Hella(?) part from Island 4x4 if memory serves. Those prices include VAT.

There were cheaper options but I went for the more expensive brand I recognised.

unfortunately no off to iom for a while then to boston at caravan so quite busy this year but hopefully early next year , should a moved to boutonne when I had the chance regretted it ever since , only because of the stubborn Frenchman who couldn't agree anything < and the annoying thing its still there still in same state , but be
