Engine pressurised?

So a new seal on the rear crank and start up, drive a bit (new engine to me- 4 years in a field prior to my picking up)

Oil piddling out the back, but it's a new seal?! Also oil Flies out when we removed the oil dipstick at about 2000rpm.

Will do a compression test bo see about piston rings- but is there anything else it could be? Is it normal to have oil spurting out at 2k revs from the dipstick?

no is breather blocked ,they are prone to bore wear and pistons splitting on the td

To be honest, it sounds like the engine is heavily worn, 1 or more of the pistons could be cracked which would cause a huge amount of Crank Case Pressure and that pressure will find anyway to get out of the crankcase, pushing oil seals out and pushing the dipstick out. It could just be the rings but by the sound of it, the pistons are cracked, sorry mate. I rebuilt my 19J, only cost £100 but you have to know what you are doing, i'm in the trade so thats not a problem lol

Ok guys- compression test show all ok- any other issues might cause crank case
Pressure? Internal breathers? Top is clear..... Confused!

have you a leak in the vac system ,if theres leak in pipe servo etc it pumps air into block ,but they are very prone to bore and ring wear ,there are no internal breathers oil and air can go fron top to bottom thru large apetures in cam gallery,whats it like with oil filler cap off

Ahhhhhhhhhhh is that it?? It's an old landy and we left vac pump open. Old brakes you see. So that could be it?! If so bung it up?? If compression test is correct this could be the problem.......

should be blocked it sucks and blows into cam gallery ,but obviously it doesnt if fitted correct as it just pulls a vacuum ,but if open is just an air pump
