what is the best option for engine oil on my td5, i have been told 5/40 fully synthetic

It depends how often you change your oil. What I mean is for example do you use a different weight of oil depending on the time of year? I use 5w-30 fully synth during winter and 5w-40 during summer.

It all relates to the ambient temps you have in your part of the world.

Going for good, I also need to sort out a certificate of compliance for the vehicle so the kiwis can let it in.

When I import LR's into France I have to get a Cert of Conformité from LR France, don't know if the same will apply for NZ.

Might be worth asking LR UK if they could provide you with one before you leave the UK ?

can i ask how much its costing to get it checked and shipped?

Only reason is that i'm going to be off to Auz in a year or so and was planning on taking the Disco with me (much more expensive to buy out there)

its going into a 40ft container along with our household stuff, costing £4500 for the lot. Will have to clean inside and out completely and then MAF will steam clean again at other end whether it needs it or not. No mud, leaf or seed allowed at all. Cant remember what they charge the other end but to get on the road I think its about £500

thats not bad. have been quoted £1200 just for the car + cleaning, air con discharge, paper work this end + dock and goverment charges the other end

Still, it's prob only worth £4k over here and it would cost me in the region of $14K over there for the same model/year
