It's also too slippy20% duck fat and 50% lard. The other 30% can be anything as it ends up on the drive anyway.
Good old mineral oil is best. The modern stuff is too thin and sneaks past the seals.
Hi someone says I can use 10w/40 mineral or 20w/50 mineral is that trueThe standard 20w50 mineral oil will be fine
I've it all sealed and new oil is going in so I'm hoping it won't go on the driveway20% duck fat and 50% lard. The other 30% can be anything as it ends up on the drive anyway.

I cut out the middle man these days and go straight for mayonnaise.10w40 is a bit thin.. the book in the day said "20w"
but its better than water, or no oil at all
Rat's got that wrong, Tractor super universal is what I use a 15/40 oil.10/40 mineral is what I use, the same as my old tractors get.
Dose it have to be mineral or can I use synthetic oil10w40 is a bit thin.. the book in the day said "20w"

Yes mineral. The synthetic stuff has a lot more friction modifiers, which is great for emissions, but it's generally too slippy for the old tech in these engines. It can also leak past the old style seals and cork gaskets etc. Plus, it's more expensiveMineral.
What could happen if synthetic goes in as all my others use car (not land rovers) use itYes mineral.
