Hi all, been to the garage today, he's not sure now which mount has gone ! Fills me with confidence NOT.
He says theres two ?
Is that right ?
Was thinking may be best to change them all ?
Will come back with his quote and see what you guys think.
Btw their pattern parts.

There are 2 mounts that take the power unit's weight. There are also 2 tie bars that take the higher twisting torque which front wheel drive vehicles put on the power unit.

I broke a new one inside a couple of weeks - put the 19 year old one back on and sorted :)

In my case because it's usually so dry here I think the actual rubber has rotted away. I even think now the engines dropped and is transferring all vibrations into the cabin as it's touching other components it's not meant to !

I'd be surprised if the engine has dropped much due to mount failure. The RH mount is a pillar type hydro mount so is always under compression. The LH mount is a cradle type mount and also under permanent compression. I have seen a HL mount come apart though, which allowed the gearbox to drop. In normal circumstances this is impossible, unless the vehicle has been in some sort of accident.
The tie bar bushes go soft an let the engine flop about inder drive.

Thanks as usual Nodge, I have 0 faith in my local garage, I took it in today, he opened the bonnet ( good start ) then grabbed hold of the rocker cover and tried to rock it back and forth !
Then said I think it's that one pointing to the top mount on left side of engine !
I just need someone who knows what their doing.
