So I Recently went on a 400 mile trip (hasn’t seen that much use in quite some time) mostly on road to overland some trails in Kentucky US with my 2000 D2. After returning I drove it into town a couple days later and noticed some liquid on the passenger side ground and tire underneath the coolant reservoir area when I got back home. I took it out again today and it was even more noticeably leaking (appears to be coming from a hose underneath the reservoir) when I returned and parked.. the reservoir level however has not changed and the coolant hoses going to the thermostat and the engine were able to be squeezed together as if no fluid pressure was in them. I also used my OBD 2 scanner and it said the ECT was about 203 Deg F … and I have a 160 F thermostat. I have not opened the system other than to top off the reservoir a month or so ago. Wondering if this could be a stuck thermostat? Or (hoping not) the water pump ?
Engine is running fine, and I’ve heard the fan running as well, so doesn’t appear to be something major at this point…
Any help/experience with something similar is much appreciated.
