Disco 2 Engine bay... what are these?

Found two plastic rods today whilst rummaging around near the steering shaft. All I can describe them as is rubber tent pegs.... any ideas what they are and where they should be as at the moment they are just hanging around loosely. Many thanks in advance once again...

As @neilly said, they're breather pipes. They should be OK left where they are, but if they are worrying you then just make sure that they're secured with cable ties so that they aren't fouling any of the mechanical bits.
