I have a choice between keeping my much-loved 10 year old 164,000 mile manual Discovery 2 V8 - once I've paid for a second head gasket in 12 months, although it's been brilliant (and well-maintained) otherwise, or trading for a 80,000 mile well-maintained 1.8 petrol Feelander of the same age. If I kept the Disco what else could I reasonably expect to put my hand in my pocket for over the next couple of years?; (it's still on the original clutch so at least that I guess). It's a bit of a 'head vs heart' thing, with running costs and all the rest coming into it - do people have views?
