Just flashed high beams and all lights have gone on disco including interior. All fuses intact, any ideas? Too dark to drive without lights. Cheers

Stalk? Radios cut out aswel. Is there any other fuses apart from fuse panel under steering wheel?

Haven't Discos got a fuse box under the bonnet with a few heavy amperage fuses in it?

I've not got a wiring diagram for a Disco...
But even so I dont think it'll be a problem with a fuse. Sounds more like a short circuit than an open one.

Yea it's a 200. I'm thinking dodgy relay. Fella before me made a right hash of wiring. All dead then it will come back to life until I turn headlights on which kills everythin.

Loosing multiple circuits as u have done points to a common problem with the fuseable links failing, they on a 200 series disco are buried within the fabric of the wiring loom near the battery. On a 300 series the fuseable links have been moved into a box along with some additional fuses.
As for a "multi functional relay" there's nothing listed under that discription in my wiring diagrams

The thing that puzzles me is that there really isn't any loom near the battery on mine, just 4 wires that go to the drivers side headlamp...?

usually they have a thicker section just before the bulkhead. that is where the fusble links are.
as for the OP, i have posted the wiring diagrams on here somewhere.

I can't find anything either. I've been told that there is a multifunctional relay that various things run off. There's no sepèrate relay for headlights, interior lights, etc they all run through this one relay. And the way it's playing up that would sound about right. Just don't have Haynes on me and don't know where it is.
