Hi
I'vs just had a new battery fitted to my 57 plate Freelander 2 and now have some wierd electircal problems as a result which include:

- electric windows will auto open as normal but they will not now auto close
- central locking opens the drivers door but will only open the other doors if i do a second click

Does anyone know what to need to do to fix these problems?

After many years use and 101,000 miles its still a good vehicle but this 'issue' has left me scratching my head

Thanks
Paul

The battery failed whilst i was on hols for 5 days - came back to find that it was almost dead. There was enough juice to turn headlights on very dim. Got a jump start then took it down to the tyre & battery place ot get a new one. No idea how long they had it disconnected.

Windows just need recalibrating on the switches, and the unlocking needs resetting, either using the fob or software update, all in the manwell

Brilliant, Freelance, thanks for that. All sorted now.

For the benefit of anyone else reading this with similar problems, as Freelance says, it is in the owners handbook , albeit buried deep in the text (its not referenced in the index) , My handbook is dated 2007, so:

Window Reset is on page 95, first section (i had to do it on all the switches, including the dirver multiswitch cluster)

Door lock probem is under the section 'Keys and Remote Controls' page 42, second section
