I'd start by making sure the battery is fully charged and in good order. I had all sorts of electrical issues when mine was on it's way out, even though the car started.

So just confirm do you have a flashing crossed B on the odometer? cos that's the subject of this thread and it's explained in post nr 2

The only way to fix this is to replace the IDM or BCU which ever is faulty , if you are lucky it's the IDM(interior fusebox) cos it's cheaper and it's plug and play while the BCU needs complex programming with dedicated diagnostic tool
