Hi. I just got a 1993 RR County LWB last month and I love it. It only has 57K miles, the engine is in great shape, the body looks good - but there are little things wrong. If anyone can comment on any or all of these - it would sure be appreciated.
1) Electric Mirrors won't work - the connection is intermittent, and when I finally get the finger sensor to move a mirror, it moves and stops. I put in a new switch (finger) today, but that didn't help. I maneuvered the mirrors into the correct positions for driving - and they actually both return back to this position when I press the memory button on the seat switch. So I'm lost.
2) Neither rear window will operate from the door switch, but both operate from the main window switch in the front. And yes, the diable switch is not engaged (though i've tried it both ways obviously).
3) My cruise control quit the other day - during a 250 mile drive in the heat of NC. I've tested the vacuum - and it holds pressure. So that's not the problem.

This is a great group. I have a parts guy in England who said I was wasting my time looking for qualified answers to my RR questions in American forums.

Questions 1 Look for bad connections usually the earths or corrosion in the connectors where moisture. Mirror positions are stored with seat positions so once you have everything in position you need to restore everything under your memory number.

Question 2 is usually bad earth or bad connection from the rear enable switch as this is the earth path for rear windows or more rarly the the enable switch faulty.

Question 3 I am not familuar with cruise control circuit and not at home where manuals are so best leave this to somone else.

Thanks John, I'm going to do some messing this weekend so I'll give these suggestions a shot. BTW - it took me a second to get 'earth' since we call it 'ground' over here.
