It supposed to run more 'freeley' with it removed to be honest ive heard that there is not much difference in some cases better emissions.

Cheers

when i was tuning tdci`s with autologic, i noticed how the egr causes a kind of flutter in the 3.4k-3.5k rpm range. I tried, in vain, to work with autologic and LR to get my hands on the software so we could do a cheeky workaround. Unfortunately none of them were interested in parting with the software, which is understandable but the tdci egr system and to a lesser extent the torque converter are pretty flawed and the cause for many headaches, well for me anyway. Good luck with it chaps.

Even LR dont have the software available to them to datalog the EGR, injectors, turbo or anything like that. I'm afraid you need to kipnap a Bosch engineer and his laptop :)

So am I to understand from responses that Ford and Bosch have got Landy owners where it hurts? Apart from the racket it makes when switching ignition on and off the damn things are always registering a fault! I can't believe that all are sitting back and accepting this rotten invention that is so troublesome and I refuse to hear that it is good for emmisions when the damn thing malfunctions so regularly!!

"excuse me sir, could you tell me if this hanky smells of chloroform?"

:D;)

So what is the process on the PUMA? I've seen blanking kits for the previous engines but nothing for the PUMA. Its something that logically makes sense to do but I assume you just have to engineer the solution yourself?

Check with 5 alive as reading there site last nite seem to have what you may want. But are you willing to pay there price???????? Me I would if I had a puma, would pay in the long run

I had a lot of problems, drivability, hill climbing and general sluggishness with a P38 and then with advice from the guys on the Range Rover section, I blocked off the EGR and it transformed the car, it now drives really well and can go up hills........

I had a new Puma 90 and one of the reasons I got rid of it was how harsh and unwilling the engine seemed to be, I would be interested to know what difference losing the egr wold have done

The Puma engine just needs a simple remap and its transformed. No need to go messing with the EGR unless it splaying up!

i unplugged mine it ran great so i got a new one but when i looked at the job of changing it i plugged into the new one and tied it up out the way light is out computer fooled landy runs great. been like it 50 k and passed mot
