Is there a way to fool the EAS into "thinking" the engine is running?

I've got half the engine apart and had to raise her (I have one way valves that are tee'd into the block) to get the last exhaust manifold bolt out.

I can't be arsed undoing the tees each time

So I figured if I could jump something and push the down button to make it drop to a certain height...

I know , lazy :p but... o_O

Put chocks the right height in the bumpstops then release the lines from the block!

If it's a P38 diagnostics will do it.

I don't have fancy diagnostics, only Win EAS Unlock... I wonder if that will work?

I like to leave the car at height to dissuade footpads and vagabonds from messing.

What fun getting a last bolt out of the left bank exhaust manifold o_O Needed the car at height for that.

I finally got it using my Irwin sockets which have sharp spiral edges inside which bite into the bolt head...

Anyway, I pulled the pipes for the front air springs and let her kneel down. When I was done, I bridged the relay port with a jumper wire to fire up the pump, then used my airline to raise her back up. I expect I'll be dong that a lot

It's all fun and games...

I'm not sure what a footpad is but i'm not sure how a particular height setting dissuades 'messing'?

A footpad is basically a thief. My car sits between the Smart car and the Citroën, so it towers above these. My general opinion is that people see the car and steer clear as it's hard to get into. Low car, walk past break a window lean in... Tall car , look up , can't lean in so keep walking.

That and other drivers tend to not like parking close for the same reasons, it's kind of intimidating.

That's my reasoning and I'm sticking to it :p

If you have the EAS Unlock suite, with the ignition on you can run the compressor and command the car to go to any height, it canes the battery so I do it with a battery charger connected.
