anyone got a photo of that btw?
particularly that 'step'
looks like a sipper pad from a synchro hub, it would need cleaning to be positiveDid like the step.
Anyone want to take a guess what this is, it came out my gearbox when i changed oil. Dosent look like it has sheared/broken at all all sides are machined. Some kind of key? All seems to work ok without it. Nice and smooth now i have changed oil too. View attachment 141603
I tend to use Bearmach for repro parts, seem to be ok quality, try island 4x4 at Maidstone or Crafted Ovals in tenterden, both do mail order, got a blower motor from islands with free next day delivery. The rear silencer on my 110 has broken loose. I'm not looking to put a S/S system on at this time as I'm saving pennies for the Series 2 rebuild. John Craddock Spares and Paddock Spares have the mild steel systems but both seem to be Britpart. Anyone have experience of Britpart exhausts ? Is there a better alternative supplier someone has used ?
Does everyone want me to sort a route or does someone else want a go?
I went for a Bearmach system in the end, arrived today and look good. Heavy gauge steel and 3 year warranty. complete system for £110. And the weekend looks good weather perfect for crawling under the old girl. Wire brush and underseal at the ready to keep the chassis coated whilst I'm thereThanks for the feedback, I'll do some surfing and avoid the Britpart stuff
wished to say a quick hi and that everyone is safe and well
looking forward when i can finally tag along plse guys , just going to take a little while
new rear brake hoses turned up this morning ,they dont make it easy , blimey 6 x of them just for the back
